The Rev. Darrell E. Taylor was born and raised in the City of Richmond, Virginia, by his mother, Dawn Davis, and his grandparents, Lemuel and Geraldine Wimbish.
He graduated from John Marshall High School.
Upon completion of High School, he was called to the ministry. On June 1st, 1998, he was licensed to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ by the First Baptist Church, where he served on various ministries, including Youth ministry, Audio Ministry, Sunday teacher, Bible study teacher, VBS (Vacation Bible School) planning committee, Hospitality ministry, and Van Driver.
He served at the 1st Baptist Washington Park until 2000, when he was called to the Fairfield Baptist Church. At Fairfield, he got right to work with the youth, audio, and transportation ministry. While at Fairfield, he has served as Youth minister, Men's minister, and Assistant pastor. He was ordained on April 30th, 2006, by the Fairfield Baptist Church.
On January 7, 2017, Fairfield Baptist Church officially installed Pastor Taylor as its 10th Pastor. Pastor Taylor loves to help, encourage, and support the people of God reach their goals and potential in all aspects of their lives.
He has a certificate of completion of Bible Doctrine from the Faith Landmark Bible School and an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies from Andersonville Seminary. he is currently enrolled in the Bachelor's program at Andersonville Seminary.
Rev. Taylor is married to the former Tyann Younger. And out of union, God has blessed him with three unique, wonderful, and special gifts: Daemont, Destiny, and Darrell. Rev. Tayloe lives by the scripture 2nd Timothy 1:7 "For god has not given us a spirit of fear but one of power, of love, and of sound mind". Pastor Taylor loves to preach, teach, coach, and mentor anyone who is willing to listen. He will always be a teachable servant of God.
