Rev. Dawn Freeman

Dawn Freeman is married to James Freeman and has three adult children, two daughters in love, and one grandson. She is a graduate of Henrico High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Liberty University. She is currently employed by Virginia REALTORS as Vice President of Operations & Hospitality and has her own cake business, Designed Especially for You. 

Dawn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age of 9 at Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Thomas. Dawn's Christian journey has included St. John Baptist Church on North Avenue and First Baptist Church in Washington Park. She is currently a disciple of Fairfield Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Darrell E. Taylor and Assistant Pastor Annesto H. Younger. 

Dawn has been actively involved in the church all her life from an early age. She participated in bible study groups, Sunday School, community outreach programs, ushering & greeting, and other programs and ministries. This all helped build a relationship with the Lord and the Word of God. 

In 2003, at First Baptist Church Washington Park, Dawn received the call to ministry under the leadership of the late Pastor Andre' Wimbish and was licensed by Pastor P. Arlene Wimbish. Dawn served as Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Minister, Vacation Bible School Instructor, and wherever she was needed. In 2012, Rev Freeman was ordained as Minister of Christian Education. She now serves as an Associate Minister at Fairfield Baptist Church. 

Dawn is committed to studying to show herself approved by God, rightly dividing the Word of Truth, as the scripture says in 2nd Timothy 2:15. She lives by Proverbs 3:3-5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
